New Idea Input wanted.
I have been kicking this idea around for a while now. I would like to maybe get some sort of Idora Park/Conneaut Lake Park presentation together.
First part of the presentation focus on what Idora Park was and what it meant to the Youngstown area. Second part of the presentation focus on what
Conneaut Lake Park is and what it means to the Northwestern part of Pennsylvania. I am thinking powerpoint presentation for this. I think the best
thing would be if I give the presentation to any groups to have some Idorapark.org members present. We could also have a memoribilia display there
and buttons/tshirts/hats etc... Split the profits with Idorapark.org and Conneaut Lake Park Preservation Society. I am sure any donations to either
cause would be accepted with open arms. Tell me your thoughts. Should I try to include some other small parks such as the now long gone Euclid Beach
or Chippewa Lake? I am always up for learning more of the history of parks. Let me know what your thoughts are. Thanks in advance.

30 views and no input. Admittedly I am somewhat disappointed someone must have some input about this project. Afterall I am trying to help our funds
as well as a small hometown Idoraesque type park. What happened to my regulars.

Bill:
I would focus on Idora and CLP to emphasize the importance of parks in recent and current memory. For CLP info, there are a couple of folks (I
believe it is the student that created the new CLP video) that are working on a new book about Conneaut. I have the previous one which is
unfortunately out of print and difficult to find. I eventually found it on ebay. Speaking of ebay, I occasionally see for sale a power point
presentation called Welcome to Conneaut Lake which was probably done sometime in the 80's. When it is posted, it is usually not that
expensive.
It would be great once you create something if it could be put on CLP's official website, but I wouldn't hold your breath on that one. I
know other individuals (such as Kelly) actually offerred to design CLP's website for free (and she is in the business of designing websites) and
they were not interested.
Recognizing the past is great, but I think your project would really be meaningful if it emphasizes the future. Believe it or not, some of the
general public doesn't even realize that CLP is still operating.
Don't give up--I'll do whatever I can to help.

Thank you for the words of encouragement Bluestreak. It is so nice to know that there are others who feel as deeply about CLP as I do. The funny
thing is that I went there for the 1st time a little over 2 years ago. I have since fell in love with the Idoraesque feel that it evokes. I am going
to not only focus on each individual park but try to draw some comparisons as well. This should help to draw some attention to CLP and maybe boost
some attendance. Even if CLP does not want to have the Powerpoint on their site I just may have to put it on a cd and send it to people who want it
for just the cost of the blank media and shipping. Well I hope to start work on this project soon. Maybe this weekend. Thanks again for your
support.

I'm not sure how, but I can try to help out in some way. Maybe just cruise around
Wooster asking people about the parks?

Bill:
When I did the Bluestreak Challenge in 2003, they gave us a really nice CD that has tons of photos that various people have taken over the last couple
of years. Email me your address and I'll make you a copy of it.

Bill,
This is a great idea! Which groups were you thinking of presenting to?
